Getting to Oban from Glasgow Airport
If you are flying into Scotland, and wish to visit Oban, by far the nearest and most convenient airport is Glasgow Airport. Oban is a westerly outpost, so it’s a good distance from all the major Scottish Airports
Leave Glasgow Airport and join the M8 westbound, look for the signposts for Erskine Bridge, join the M898, go over the bridge and follow the A82 sign posted Crianlarich all the way to Crianlarich. Continue on the A82 for 5 miles, join the A85 and take this road all the way to Oban
There is no rail station at Glasgow Airport, so take a taxi to Dalmuir, and join the West Highland Line Service to Oban.
